Work Package 5

Objectives

Additionally to intra-consortium audits, an external audit of analysis and case studies is proposed, for example by distinguished experts on RTD funding policies and communication from non-project partner and non-EU countries (e.g. Canada, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, USA, etc.).

The expected added value of this audit is a critical evaluation of project results due to enhanced objectivity and professional rigour of auditors to be engaged for this activity.

Description of work

T5.1 Identification and selection of six external auditors
Each region/country will be visited by two external auditors, from which one will come from an EU-state external to the project and the other from a non-EU country. At the same time, one of the two will be a policy maker while the other an academic expert.

T5.2 Briefing auditors on project objectives and providing them with respective material (project results)

T5.3 Working session of external auditors and PAG (3rd meeting)
After the PAG meeting, a draft external audit report will be sent to the respective authorities of regions/countries that are partners in the project.

T5.4 Dissemination of external audit reports among project partners
