The Fundación Comunidad Valenciana-Región Europea (FCVRE) is a non-profit foundation created in 2003 by the Government of the Region of Valencia to promote the participation of the Valencia Region in the actions and policies of the European Union and promotes a better knowledge of these actions and policies.
 
 

Region of Valencia - Spain

 
The Region of Valencia is located along the east coast of Spain on the Mediterranean, with a surface area of 23,255 square kilometers and 454 kilometers of coastline.The Region of Valencia is home to more than 4.6 million inhabitants, about 10.5% of Spain’s population. The population is distributed between three provinces that constitute the region: Valencia (51.92%), Alicante (36.47%) and Castellón (11.61%). In 2005, the Gross Domestic Product of the Region of Valencia was 87 billion €, representing approximately 9.6% of the Spanish domestic GDP (904 Billion €).
