Scottish Enterprise is funded by the Scottish Government and is the main economic development agency for Scotland, headquartered in Glasgow. Scottish Enterprise consists of Scottish Enterprise National and 12 Local Enterprise Companies. Working in partnership with the private and public sectors the Network aims to secure the long-term future of the Scottish economy by making our industries more competitive, helping to build more and better businesses, to develop the skills and knowledge of Scotland's people, and to encourage innovation to make Scotland's businesses internationally competitive. Our priorities include support of key priority industries, commercialisation of academic ideas into good business opportunities, growing businesses of scale, e-business and internationalisation.
